0714. Interaction between adipokines and the metabolic stress response: angpt l2 cxcl5 and visfatin in patients undergoing cardiac surgery

چکیده
Introduction Adipose tissue plays an intriguing role in the endocrine system by producing adipokines [1]. In patients with obesity, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes (DM2), insulin resistance is influenced by adipokines [1]. From a metabolic point of view, the stress response caused by surgical injury imitates the diabetic state. Stereotypical endocrine-metabolic and inflammatory reactions result in catabolism and pronounced insulin resistance, which is related to outcome [2].

P-57: The Beneficial Adipokines in Reproductionand Infertility
Background: Adipokins are cytokines predominantely or exclusively expressed by adipose tissue that circulate and affect target tissues. Four known adipokines, adiponectin, visfatin/PBEF, omentin and vaspin, all increase tissue sensitivity to insulin, and are thus described as ’beneficial’. In this review such biological actions and potential roles of the adipokines leptin, adiponectin and resis...
متن کاملOutcomes of On-pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting in Patients with Metabolic Syndrome in Mashhad, Iran
Introduction: Metabolic syndrome (MS) is considered as an important risk factor for advanced coronary artery disease. This condition can increase the mortality and morbidity in the patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. The aim of the study was compared mortality and morbidity after off Pump- CABG surgery between patients with and without the Metabolic syndrome. Materi...

Background: Adipokines are peptides secreted by adipose tissue that affect whole-body energy metabolism. Exercise training exerts beneficial effects on adipose tissue. However, less is known regarding visfatin’s, IL-6 & TNF-α response to an interval acute training. Therefore, we investigated the effects of acute interval exercise on plasma visfatin, TNF-α and IL-6 levels, in healthy female rats...
متن کاملتأثیر کمپرس سرد بر راحتی بیماران در زمان خارج کردن لولۀ درناژ قفسۀ سینه پس از جراحی قلب: یک مطالعۀ کارآزمایی بالینی
Introduction: The removal of the chest tube drainage is a painful experience for patients. Painless pain and patient's discomfort is associated with reduced chest dilatation, respiratory dysfunction with hypoxemia, increased sympathetic response to myocardial ischemia, and increased general response to tachycardia. The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of cold compresses before r...
متن کاملCorrelation of visfatin level with non-alcoholic fatty liver in metabolic syndrome
Background: Metabolic syndrome (MS) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common public health problem. Visfatin is secreted by visceral adipose tissue and is an adipocytokine. It could be a pro-inflammatory adipocytokine and is related to the metabolic syndrome and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. This study evaluated the association between visfatin levels in patients w...
